The respectsWORKS Solution

respectWORKS helps organisations to rethink and redesign workplace responses to dignity harms. We provide a range of end-to-end solutions that comply with best practice. Because every workplace is different, we will assist you to select the solutions you need and to integrate those within existing systems that work.

Risk Assessment of Workplace Environment

We conduct a comprehensive risk assessment relating to the occurrence / prevalence of sexual harassment and ancillary harms within the workplace. This includes assessing the work environment and identifying high-risk areas.

Awareness Programs And Campaigns

We develop and implement training and awareness programs / campaigns within the workplace and beyond to prevent, and respond to gendered violence and other dignity harms.

Trauma-informed Incident Reporting

We assess, develop, provide, or enhance existing reporting and complaint channels. We ensure that processes and reporting channels are clear, confidential, neutral, and accessible to all. We introduce trauma-informed and safeguarding support within processes to create psychological safety, and to ensure informed decision-making. We optimise effective processing and resolution of complaints and conflicts around them.

Comprehensive Policies

We review existing policies with the aim of supporting the development of clear, consistent and comprehensive policies that address all areas of risk, and all forms of gendered violence and dignity harms. We align policies with best practice thinking.

Embedding a Zero-Tolerance Stance

We ensure that the management of dignity harms is done with neutrality, consistency and accountability. We design the strategy to communicate a zero-tolerance commitment to ensure that all are held to the same standard, addressing the risks and reasons for non-reporting or non-responses, and building confidence that all reports or complaints are taken seriously.

Data analysis & insight development

We provide qualitative and quantitative data gathering and reports to highlight the occurrence of sexual harassment and dignity
harms and design pre-emptive prevention strategies that can be put in place to address it.

Support for Victims and Affected Employees

We work with third parties and your existing structures, to secure access to counselling, mental health services, and legal advice to ensure that victims have the emotional and professional support they need during and after reporting an incident. We guide on trauma-informed responses to harassment, ensuring that investigations and interactions with victims are handled with sensitivity and care.

Leadership Training

We offer specialised training and coaching for leaders within your organisation to become thought-leaders on topics of dignity harms. We support those responsible for incident response to identify instances of sexual harassment and other dignity harms, effectively respond to complaints, and foster respectful workplace and institutional cultures.

GBV strategy

We help employers assess the wider impact of gender-based violence on their workplace and people. We assist in finding solutions that extend protections and policies to include intimate partner / domestic violence to support the growing numbers of people in workplaces experiencing or perpetrating violence beyond the workplace.

Disciplinary Services

We review disciplinary processes in order to ensure that they are aligned with a people centred and trauma informed approach. We conduct investigations, provide training to disciplinary chairs as well as chair disciplinary hearings on matters related to dignity harms.
